The Drums

"Make a song out of anything and make it sound amazing". If you've ever tried to cover a Drums song you'll see how simple the sounds really are. The Drums are an amazing demonstration of what music could sound like with out any fancy extras or over the top "Pop fizz". They cut right in the middle and get straight to the point, Using simple lyrics and simple sounds to make untouchable; well composed music. The Drums came out with they're latest album recently "Portamento" and already iv'e found myself memorizing all the lyrics, dancing along and patiently waiting for the next album to appear.

James Blake

James Blake has a high regard for the prophet 08 and brings honor to it's name. "James Blake is an electronic musician from London, England. James began his final year at Goldsmiths in September 2009 studying popular music while recording songs in his bedroom. Blake attended The Latymer School and released his debut 12” “Air and Lack Thereof” on Hemlock Audio in July 2009. It was a firm favourite with Gilles Peterson from BBC Radio 1. James was invited to do a special mix on Gilles Peterson’s worldwide show which included an exclusive Mount Kimbie track." -Illegal Music

Yeasayer

These guys use a ton of different synthesizers and sounds to produce some really amazing music. Finding out what they use turned into a very long project, but i'm sure it's worth it. This project isn't even done yet, still needs some updating, but i'll keep adding every time I find something.

When I have new songs to listen to, I never enjoy just the feeling it gives me or the enjoyment of the new tune but the experience of it, It always makes me want to make music not just sing along.
